Interactive/Sculptures

Don't Spill the Beans was an interactive sound installation peice created in the spring of 2017. The idea was to facillitate
instal
play by creating new associations between objects and sound. I did this by using an overhead mic to pick up the sounds of the table. Then I created a system of buffer's and delays in Max/MSP that could be manipulated by the objects on the table. The participants could then create effect's in real time and listen to them unfold while figuring out the relationships between the objects and manipulated sound. I also threw in some led's under the table that flickered in parallel to the effects.

These LED mirrors were apart of a sculpture project where I was interested in exploring new uses for old electronics. E-waste is everywhere and I wanted to find a way to up-cycle forgotten technology before it ended up in a dump. So I took an old tv and computer and turned them into some oddly nostalgic but futuristic lamps.
